Shopping for clothing can be a nightmare, especially when many of us shop at the same retail stores which supply cheap, yet massss produced clothing and there’s nothing worse than seeing someone in the same attire as you! So, Elite started searching for something new, vibrant and individual and we came across one company that fit the bill exactly - Isis Clothing & Eyewear.
Based in Leicester, this unique, independent store and online retailer, supplies top designer labels including the ever popular Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier, which is exclusively supplied to Isis Clothing. Starting life in the Malcolm Arcade, Isis has now entered an exciting new stage, moving to the High Street, where they have succeeded in creating a store which screams out fresh ideas and invites you in to experience what Isis Clothing is all about.
Launched in February 2007, Isis can boast of a wide range of stock and a superb layout, where inspiration has been taken from the relaxed shopping environments of LA retailers, with a twist of New York style. Consisting of luxurious seating, a spacious setting, as well as funky fish tanks, bright décor and laser lighting, Isis ensures that their contemporary setting is unmatched. Store Manager, Jarrod Katandra, explained: “The Store IS What It IS and this is what Isis reflects, we aim to provide an unrivalled shopping experience and we know that by presenting our collections in such a welcoming environment, with even enough room for pushchairs and an Xbox to entertain the kids, we’ll attract a loyal customer base.”
As well as being one of the main suppliers of Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier in the Midlands, Isis provides New clothing labels such as Lou Molloy (London Ink), Rebel Spirit (UFC Cage Fighting), Affliction, DIE, Cerbae, Outpost/Bejewelled (Suzan Fixel), Antique Rivert.
In 2008 Isis signed contracts with the world known franchisee THE SUNGLASS HUT carrying an extensive range of eyewear with D&G, Rayban, Versace, Bvlgari, Prada, Marc Jacobs, Christian Dior and many more! “There’s nothing worse than investing in a piece of clothing and then seeing the same item on someone else as soon as you step out the door.
Therefore our collections aim to be varied and individual, so we only buy in a limited number of each item. Yet, we also receive deliveries everyday and so there’s always something new on the shop floor, with a wider availability of stock downstairs!” added Jarrod.
Yet, what we think will really appeal is the unique grouping of products within the store, using colour coding and styles to allow shoppers to browse with ease and allow them the freedom to shop at their own pace.
Finally, Jarrod emphasised: “We want Isis to become a real alternative when it comes to clothing and eyewear, welcoming anyone and everyone inside to browse, buy and try on, we encourage you to come in and just take a look!
